Virgman – Back In The Day + On The Rocks EP

Putting up songs like this is what makes me excited about being in the position that I’m in now. A friend of mine hit me up a little while ago and told me that his boy from Syracuse just released a mixtape and that I should check it out. After letting it sit for a couple days I took a listen and I can honestly tell you I’m totally blown away. Everything about it from beat selection to production quality to lyrical content was absolutely on point so with great pleasure allow me to introduce you to Virgman and his debut video for Back In The day as well as his On The Rocks EP.

Sir Michael Rocks – Lap Of Lux

Today I’ve got a brand new mixtape from Sir Michael Rocks of The Cook Kids fame stacked 15 tracks thick of good material. This project definitely has a different feel than his prior work with Chuck Inglish but with standouts like the song Great with a feature from Casey Veggies & a fire verse from Mac Miller, it’s definitely worth a listen for those that love that trap hip-hop sound.

Hip-Hop – 50 Cent – The Lost Tape (Full Mixtape)

When it comes to mixtapes no one has made impacts quite like 50 Cent and DJ Drama. Respectively the rapper and the DJ have separately stood as the biggest draws in the underground mixtape scene and now they’ve finally come together to collaborate. In the early aughts 50 built his reputation remixing existing rap song’s adding his own high-powered verses to familiar hits. He revisits the trend with “Riot” remix, a new take on 2 Chainz’s street banger. On “OJ” 50 teams with Kidd Kidd, his new signee from New Orleans. The piano-laced track finds Fif and his new protégé drawing an analogy between their murderous ways and embattled football legend O.J. Simpson.

50 Cent and DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz collaboration may have taken five years top materialize, but you can’t argue quality; The Lost tape was well worth the wait. “We actually centered this concept with an idea we created in 2007 and we’re finally getting around to it, so it’s well overdue,” 50 said.

Hip-Hop – botTABOOm/Luke Bahta – Sleep Well Mixtape

Luke Bahta was formerly known as botTABOOm and his mixtape released under that moniker called Sleep Well might be one of the most well crafted mixtape I’ve heard in a really long time. He takes the production from some huge names like Xaphoon Jones as well as some less known names and lyrically demolishes every single beat that he hops on. “The artist formerly know as” is usually reserved for the likes of Prince but I’ll make an exception for this 18 year old kid out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

He had an artistic realization and decided that he had moved past his musical stage as botTABOOm and decided to take a hiatus from making music and reinvent himself as not only a writer but as a producer. You can find his new Facebook as Luke Bahta here so throw it a like if you haven’t been keeping up with this kid’s latest doings and be sure to read the note on the page about his name change; this kid is for real. I can’t wait for his new work because the talent is absolutely there. I’ve included a link to download the entire mixtape as well as direct downloads of a few of my standouts from the tape.

Enjoy!
