Halo 4 – Green & Blue (KOAN Sound Remix)

I thought my biggest surprise of the day was out of the way but today’s a little bit interesting. Turns out that everyone is realizing the crazy potential of this electronic remix culture and consumers’ desire for it so the people behind Halo 4 got wise and are offering a 14 track remix package of the game’s original soundtrack complete with a making-of DVD, a physical vinyl record and other goodies for a cool $75. To give you a taste of what you may hear on the record, KOAN Sound puts a beautiful spin on one of the tracks that has been on repeat for the last 20 minutes in my room.

deadmau5 – Telemiscommunications ft. Imogen Heap

So I may or may not have stumbled upon a full leak of deadmau5’s new album >album title goes here< that’s set for release September 24th and after an early listen through, I’ve already got a standout favorite. When you listen to a deadmau5 project, you know you’re getting nothing but the best in terms of production and he really pushes the limits of electronic music with this one. Enlisting the help of Imogen Heap, he litters the soundscape with ambiance and scattered drum hits while the Grammy-winning British songstress works her vocal magic.

Mansions on the Moon – Radio

Los Angeles trio Mansions on the Moon are one of my favorite indie bands out right now. My introduction came with their Crosby, Stills & Nash-esque crooner Rest of Your Days which I posted in the sites first ever day of existence and it’s taken until now for us to get our next taste. Singing “just because it’s on the radio doesn’t mean it’s beautiful“, they encompass everything that is beautiful about indie music in this track available for free on their SoundCloud.

Ellie Goulding – Hanging On (Draper Remix)

I honestly forgot how much I loved Draper’s music until I got a hold of this track a couple minutes ago. The 20 year old British producer’s beautiful instrumentation allows the Ellie Goulding vocal to soar to huge heights and can we please give it up for hearing a real guitar in an electronic song please!? There’s so much to love about this track so grab the free download and check out the usual assortment of links below!

Constantly showing versatility and a musical prowess that comes few and far between in today’s electronic music scene, Sound Remedy provides us with an ambient downtempo remix of a track by Noosa. I’ve never heard of Noosa but her vocals are stunningly complementary to the production and lucky for us, the track is free!

TRAILS AND WAYS – Mtn Tune (Official Video)

We gave you the track and download for TRAILS AND WAYS single Mtn Tune a couple weeks ago and they’ve just come out with the live-action visuals for the project a couple days ago. The band does some biking and mountain climbing as well as playing on top of a 40 foot volcanic rock and it all fits so perfeclty into the ambient and earthy sounds. Assorted links below!

Passion Pit – Constant Conversations (Official Video + St. Lucia Remix)

St. Lucia is a producer from New York that shows the result of a childhood mastery of classical music and a love of atmospheric synth pop. His remix of the Passion Pit single Constant Conversations from the hugely successful Goassamer album is beautifully ambient while still preserving all the raw emotion from the original version. Speaking of which I just happened upon the official video for the original which is a beautiful visual to accompany the amazing song. You can grab St. Lucias debut EP here which is loaded with his signature sound or check out his other outlets below!

Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs – Household Goods (Zeds Dead Remix)

It is literally impossible to be disappointed with anything Zeds Dead releases. Good news is that this is absolutely no exception with the Canadian duo showing their versatility by bringing enough reverb and soft wobbly bass to make you melt into a puddle. Absolutely beautiful.
