House music is getting bigger and bigger by the day and sometimes there are just songs that you have to have; this is most definitly one of those songs. Its not new by any stretch of the imagination but those who love house music should find this as a staple of their libraries in my personal opinion. The chilling vocals over the powerful synths really drive this one home for me and is one of those songs that really brings the emotion out of a crowd. Anyway enjoy and check out man-on-fire Tommy Trash’s remix to it in all of Tommy Trash signature glory.

Ed Sheeran is a 21 year old singer songwriter from the UK who’s been gaining some major momentum overseas. Maybe I’m really late to the party and for all I know he might be the British version of The Fray but a friend showed me this kid and its obvious that he has a ton of talent. His song The A Team was #3 on the UK Singles Chart at its debut and he played in the BBC Introducing tent at the Glastonbury Music Festival in 2011. I’ve included two of his singles off his major label debut album +. Yes his major label debut album was named plus sign. Unfortunately I cannot provide download links for these songs because they’ve been removed from every single place I’ve looked for on the entire internet so enjoy the listen and support the artist on iTunes or with your neighborhood friendly YouTube converter.

This track has been absolutely KILLIN it today around the blogosphere so it’s only right that I jump on it and show it to all of you folks. Nick Guarino over at ThisSongisSick has his finger on the pulse of the Boulder, Colorado music scene and he put out a song by local kids Manic Focus called Circle which sounds like classic Pretty Lights. Its got an unbelievable bass line and the sampling ability is absolutely off the charts. The music video has some SERIOUS hula hooping going on and it flows great with the video so definitely check that out. I’m hooked without a question and I can’t wait to see what this talented act has to bring in the future. Be sure to like their fanpage on Facebook HERE so you can show them some support! Without further delay allow me to present to you Maniac Focus.
I also included their interpretation of RHCP’s classic Dani California.

Its so nice hearing Tip Harris’ voice on tracks again. T.I.’s out of jail and looking to get back to business usual as “King of the South” and hopping on a track with Jeezy Luda and rising star Future is definitely a way to do it. I can listen to Ludacris rap for days and Future’s appearance marks his new level of exposure on a track hosted by Drama. Enjoy!

These guys are pretty much amazing. Their major label debut album Breakfast is sitting pretty at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 chart and they keep putting out more music for the fans? Unreal. This one is a B-side off the UK version of the album called What Did You Do and its everything you want out of a Chiddy Bang song. No need for me to ramble on this one; grab the download and as always enjoy! (If I could’ve managed to put this up yesterday I would’ve said enjoy with free pancakes.)
And I love including bonus stuff that I find in my iTunes so I included a remix of Kanye West’s Touch the Sky by the one and only Xaphoon Jones off of the Xaphoon Jones Mixtape Volume 1.

The guys who brought you the original mix of Cinema that Skrillex so thoroughly destroyed are back again with a new jam called Control. It has all the makings of a song with staying power; Gary Go’s vocals are impeccable and it has all the feel good vibes that you come to associate with Benny Benassi. Glad to see these two working together again and maybe some new up and comer will take this one and give it the Skrillex treatment? Time will tell I guess.
I also included a remix of his track Come Fly Away by Adam K. I know absolutley nothing about this track other than it sounds good so enjoy!

Long Island native and USC student Michael Fiore just seems to revel in nostalgia and his latest release under his production name Fiore is an unabashed jam session. His latest effort is a sometimes groovy, sometimes trippy, always classic album that sounds like it should be played over and over on vinyl until there’s nothing left.
Says Fiore, “It’s my third album under Fiore. The album is called “Mara”. It’s really 6 songs, 34 min. That’s just an early master with everything combined together but that’s exactly how it will flow once I release it.”
His second album is also on vinyl and you can download it at dgeneticsmusics.com/fiore as well as find the links to all the usual assortment of social networking such as SoundCloud and Twitter at the same site.
I was just recently introduced to rapper Omar Linx and became and fan of his work and have loved Zeds Dead for a long time so stumbling on these two things in the same day really is awesome. First is a song that’s been out for a little while which is a really chilled out heavy dub track that has all the crunchy bassy goodness of a well crafted Zed song as well as a fire 32 bars from Omar Linx that balance eachother out really well.

Caught this on ThisSongIsSick like I’m sure plenty of you did but if you didn’t this is a video from Zeds Dead’s “The Living Dead Tour” show from Calgary. The video is great but the real gem of it is the background song which is called No Prayers off of their upcoming joint mixtape called Victory. I was beyond excited for this already and now I’m just ecstatic. Enough talking more listening and enjoy!

This is kind of a tough post to do after the SOPA/PIPA fiasco has taken place. Running this blog was much easier when Megaupload/Hulkshare/Mediafire etc. were free to do their thing and promote free music so that more people could hear it and eventually support the artists in the way of attendance at festivals or buying an album if you’ve heard enough music to decide its worth the support. My iTunes would cost me approximately $4000 if I had decided to buy it all but I now support each and every artist on it by passing it on to more people. The point is that the download links have become increasingly more difficult to find so I apologize if download links go through third-party websites with advertisers but there just may not be another alternative so please click carefully or buy the music that you support so as not to deal with it.
Now for the music.
Eric Prydz can be categorized as legendary in the world of house music especially dating back to its early golden years in Europe in the late 90s. He shows again how he can remain relevant and unrivaled in his craft with a remix of popular sing Midnight City by M83. He preserves all of the goodness of the original version by the French band and keeps it lively enough to have a real good feel on the dance floor. I’d say buy this online but it’s only available in the European store on iTunes and the Beatport link says that its unavailable in my region (America) so the download link isn’t the official release but it’s damn near close. The YouTube link is the real one so you could just rip that one. Take your pick.
